Salary: MCT £3125 (per course) / ACT £2,500 (per course) + accrued holiday pay
Schedule: Monday - Friday 

Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours for a full time course/10-15 hour per week for part time courses (subject to change)
Location: BSC Manchester/York College/Homebased

Job Description
Purpose of the role
We are currently looking for experienced CELTA tutors to work on a number of courses scheduled throughout the year in either an MCT, ACT, or TPT capacity. BSC Education Ltd. is committed to growing our teacher training team and our course offerings and has a variety of options and dates available for CELTA tutors. We would like to hear from qualified CELTA tutors who have availability to take on multiple courses for 2024 in MCT or ACT capacities.

 The duties of the role are outlined below:
 
 CELTA delivery 
  • Take on the MCT, ACT or TP tutor role as required in agreement with the college team.
  • Ensure that all CELTA courses meet the syllabus requirements as stipulated by Cambridge Assessment.
  • Complete all administration in a timely fashion with attention to detail.
  • Ensure that all trainees/students receive the necessary amount of time designated for tutorials.
  • Oversee the general welfare of all trainees/students in your classes and refer any issues to the safeguarding officers in accordance with the safeguarding policy.
  • Manage trainee and free student behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour in liaison with school management.
  • Undertake pastoral duties as necessary and support trainees/students on an individual basis through their academic journey.
  • Participate in quality control, standardisation and development programmes both with BSC and Cambridge.
  • Attend all team meetings and CPD sessions as required.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments, new resources, methods and technology and apply to your classroom practice where appropriate.
Education and experience required
  • Cambridge DELTA or industry equivalent (Level 7).
  • Teacher Trainer status (approved CELTA course tutor registered on Cambridge Assessment database).
  • Experience in EFL teaching in the UK or abroad, with a good understanding of current industry developments.
  • Evidence of competently using learning technologies in the classroom and online.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development and the willingness to learn new skills.
Experience and knowledge desired
  • Experience of working on at least 3 intensive CELTA courses.
  • Experience of being MCT.
